Lower School LearningStudents in the lower school at UCDS are always on the move! From restaurants and local government offices to museums and Myrtle Beach, we keep students engaged by allowing them to explore the world around them.
One of the primary goals of UCDS is to instill a lifelong love of reading. This goal becomes apparent in the lower school classrooms which are filled with books to draw students' interest and develop their reading skills. Students also begin writing their own stories, and by the time they leave the lower school are excellent creative and academic writers. Science and history offer the chance for learning to come to life through projects and experiments designed to be both fun and instructive. UCDS is located less than an hour and a half from many major museums, and regular field trips strengthen the lessons taught in the classroom. |
